Raylight Foundation brings health, education, water and sanitation, agriculture and microfinance services to families in the Rwenzori Region and other parts of Uganda.
A community organisation born in Karambi
Raylight Foundation is a non-governmental organisation initiated by Muhindo Elijah Muzigiti of the Muzigiti family, in Kisolholho Parish, Karambi Sub-County.
We promote volunteerism, good human morals and institutional capacity building in health, water and sanitation, agriculture, environment and education, for the benefit of present and future generations.
Three programmes, one goal
Education
Our Education Aid programme supports orphans and vulnerable students and graduates in the Rwenzori region through scholarships and student loan assistance.
Health
Our Maternal Health and Child Survival project covers young child nutrition, elimination of mother-to-child transmission, family planning and preventive health care.
Nutrition
We train mothers and caregivers to identify acute malnutrition in their children, so cases are detected early and referred for treatment.
What guides every visit, clinic and classroom
Humanity
We give aid to prevent and relieve suffering, protect life and health, and respect every person.
Impartiality
Aid goes to the most urgent need, regardless of nationality, race, religion, class or political opinion.
Neutrality
We keep the trust of all parties while working at community level.
Voluntary service
Our work is rooted in volunteerism and is never driven by financial gain.
