A foundation started by a family, for its community
Raylight Foundation for Rural Development works with rural communities of the Rwenzori Region and other parts of Uganda.
Our story
Raylight Foundation is a non-governmental organisation initiated by Muhindo Elijah Muzigiti of the Muzigiti family, based in Kisolholho Parish, Karambi Sub-County, Kasese District.
We promote volunteerism, good human morals and institutional capacity building in health, water and sanitation, agriculture, environment and education, so that present and future generations benefit.

To help alleviate poverty in rural communities of the Rwenzori Region and other parts of Uganda.
We deliver social and economic services where they are hardest to reach:
Four commitments we work by
Humanity
Providing aid to prevent and relieve suffering, protect life and health, and respect every person.
Impartiality
Giving aid regardless of nationality, race, religion, class or political opinion, with the most urgent need first.
Neutrality
Keeping the trust of all parties while working at community level.
Voluntary service
Rooted in volunteerism, and never driven by financial gain.
Stand with rural families in the Rwenzori Region.
